If it was cricket she retrieved the ball. If it was rugby she became a pest running around getting in the way.
I taught her to score goals and her and I were a team.
Several families were at the beach house playing ball. Kassa wouldn’t let Cory (my son) take the ball off her. She would dart around. Cory had to beat her. Boy thing. I would call Goal ...Kassy.... Goal. Everyone else would be yelling go Kassa Go!!
Cory got the ball. Kassa grabbed him by the shorts. No!!! Kassa. No bite. And she was send off with a yellow card and penalty.
A few moments later we stopped the game. Kassy wanted to keep playing and tried to get one of the younger children to play. I said "No. Leave it a few moments and you initiate the game." Kassa gave me what we called “the butt.” ;D
If annoyed she would sit with her back to you. When Kass sat all the fat and fur would drop to her butt making it look huge. We jokingly called her lard ass.
Some of the boys and Cory started fiddling with a car. Cory had a rag in his back pocket to wipe the engine. Kassa pulled the rag out of his pocket and dropped it on the ground. Cory picked it up, shook the sand off it and put it back. Kassa did it again. Several drops later Cory caught her and said. “OK dog you want a game.” The boys started running around with the ball. Kass got it and with us all yelling go Kassa, Goal kassa she darted around. Cory stopped her again.
She went over to him, took the rag from his pocket and buried it in a pile of sand. Take that...That will teach you to mess with me boy.”
By now were were all crying with laughter.
