I thought I would share a pic of my Lab mix Brittany. Britt is a rescue, and she is ~10 years old. She was abused, and she still has scars on her face. She was almost dead when I began fostering her almost 3 years ago. She had recovered from surgery to remove bladder stones, and then she tested positive for heartworm. She almost didn't survive the treatment. Then she was diagnosed with liver disease which is managed by diet and supplements. She also has severe hip and elbow dysplasia and arthritis. I ended up adopting her myself because nobody wanted her. Two years ago, Brittany was diagnosed with Valley Fever. She takes meds for that and is symptom free now.
Before you get too depressed, I better tell you some positive things about my girl. Brittany has good eyesight and great hearing. She has a Labrador appetite, and she loves to eat! Her second favorite thing is car rides. She is a happy girl and gets along with everyone. Her health has improved greatly, and she is always wagging her tail.
And here's a picture of my crippled doggy.....
NOT NOW MOM!!! I DON"T HAVE TIME TO SIT FOR A PHOTO!!!

Brittany's story is sad, but with a great ending. It sounds like you've given her a wonderful forever home. She's a beautiful girl!

I can imagine that she's just the bestest girl in the world!! What a happy life compared to her sad beginnings!
It makes me happy to think that she's there with you now, and has a wonderful home....
IMO, people who abuse animals are going straight to the hot place.
