Cinnamon is so funny. If she wants you to throw her ball or let her out and you are not doing it (or doing it fast enough) she starts to stomp her feet. The more you ignore her the more she stomps. She will also do it after she has gone through her whole re-patore of tricks and you haven' given her a treat. If you just ignore her or don't tell her to go lay down she will eventually come over and stomp on your feet as if to say "don't you know I want something".

Now if she wants a drink and her dish is empty she just goes over and stands by it and looks over her shoulder at you. Or if she is hungry she will just go sit by her food vault and stare at you (she is a self regulator and so if she ask to be fed we feed her between meals as most of the time she doesn't finish her meals). She only does this a couple times a month or so. And these are not worth stomping for but treats or being played with are.

Karon, that's just what Crash used to do! Stomp stomp stomp...pause and stare...if you looked away or didn't acknowledge what he wanted...Stomp Stomp Stomp Stomp!

Oh, thanks for reminding me of that.

Is it a two foot stomp? Reggie does a shuffle when he gets really excited, back and forth from front paw to front paw.

;D That is what Kody does. He does it at meal times when he sees me with his bowl, and with treats. It usually consists of 2 or 3 circles followed by the alternating front paw stomp. We call it happy paws. ;D

Saxon (GSP) would pound the floor with her two front paws when she wasn't getting your attention right away. LOL...kinda forgot that about her.

Boomer doesn't do it unless he's going through a carwash (what we call his passes in and out between our legs as his greeting/I love you expressions)...we scratch him as he goes through, and when we get to his back end, he stops there and stomp stomp stomps with his back feet.

Hey! And that's exactly what Angus does! ;D Angus' butt sort of goes up and down and his back legs buckle beneath him.

I have to admit that I have a foot stomper...in the car, on the way home from day care.

she knows I have treats and she'll situate herself on the back seat with her front feet resting on the bottom; head on front arm rest.

stomp stomp until she gets a teeny morsel of a treat.

I thought this was a human trait
