Lexie LOVES having a new playmate and companion. This week Wyatt got snipped, but he bounced back really quickly. We took them to the park yesterday and it was really neat to see them running around together. They pretty much stuck together the entire time we were there.
Lexie is not possessive of her toys and things; although they do like to play a little game of "your bone is better than mine". They usually like to steal the other's bone when he/she isn't paying attention.
I'm glad that we decided to get a rescue that is a little older than Lex, they're a nice team.
Here are a few pictures of the two of them at the park yesterday.

Lexie running with the Frisbee
Lex swimming in the water bucket
Lex and Wyatt running
Finally, two tuckered pups
When I "fostered" Wyatt pending his adoption they told us that he was probably neglected; especially since he had been incarcerated SIX times and he's underweight. I keep a really close eye on him when he goes out back to do his business, but so far he hasn't shown any signs of wanting to run. He really just prefers to be with us, like Lexie. It's very hard for me to fathom why anyone would neglect him; he's a gentle lovebug.
Both dogs are doing really well with the cats. Lexie chased them a lot, but she seems to have mellowed a bit (knock on wood) with Wyatt around. He's pretty indifferent to cats.
We've all had a great first week.
Thanks so much for sharing. YOu have two beautiful puppers there!!!!! ;D
