Mrs. Theo's Mommy left at 4 a.m. today for a conference, returning in a few days. So like clockwork, Theo got up in the middle of the night crying to go out to have explosive diarrhea. I left this morning for some meetings after being fairly confident that the tap was dry, and came home at noon to discover a nasty smear all over my deceased grandma's handmade braided rug in the study (which he had helpfully tried to "clean up," apparently :-X ). So I have come home and am working here and watching him. He no longer has a fenced-in backyard and our condo is an open plan and requires carpet (we have a neighbor downstairs), so there really isn't anywhere I can put him to let it rip without worry. And I'm too softhearted to crate him when he has a tummy problem.
Do you think they save it up for when it's least convenient?
Apparently so since Zoe let it rip in the back seat of the truck today. I didn't know she had a tummy problem and she goes to work with me on Thursdays. I left her in the truck (don't freak out people, it's in the driveway; I work in a model home) until lunch only to come back to that all familiar smell. What a nice lunch break that was!
Here ... pours you a glass of wine!
aww, poor theo...i hope he gets better soon.
do you think he got into something that upset his tummy or do you think it is related to a change in routine type of stress/anxiety?
i'm having tummy troubles with luke right now, too, so i'm right there with ya.
edit to add: i ordered something called, Intestinal Soothe. Yellow Boys Mom recommended it for diarrhea.

Oh, no! Yuck. I have some leftover carpet and upholstery cleaner that you're welcome to.Originally Posted by zoezoeNo, no, thanks--I'm really not in the mood right now! :-XHere ... pours you a glass of wine!
Poor Theo. Poor You! Hope he's soon on the mend!
Are you starvin' him?
Well, temperament-wise he's virtually bombproof, and appetite-wise he's about one step shy of a hyena, so my money is on "got into something that upset his tummy."Originally Posted by luke from georgia

Awww... poor Theo (and Luke and Zoe!) !!
Hope he's feeling better soon! Nothing worse than explosive diarrhea.... eeechhh!!
Thanks, Felicia. Although I would quibble a bit. Worse than explosive diarrhea is having your dog have explosive diarrhea on the carpet, then eat it, then throw it up all over your bed. That's just a little bit worse.Originally Posted by henrysmom

Hope Theo feels better soon. I wonder what made him have an upset tummy?
Not looking forward to the day when Zoe has her 1st experience. :-X
