What is the purpose of soft paws for dogs? I get it for cats since thier claws are sharp and can destroy things, but a dog's isn't really quite the same... Is it better for hard wood or something? Or just decorative?

I dont know but they do come in colors, at least for cats they do. maybe its like having their nails done.

Its does the same as it would do for cats. Keeps them from scratching up things, Maybe not like a cat wood. But Mambo has scratched holes in my sheets, we are putting down hardwood floors, I wanna keep him from scratching them. Also I just bought new firniture and got it yesterday. He has already scratched a small hole in it because of his back claws.

I take him to a groomer, they cut and file his nails, They are sharper than when he went in. Shorter but sharper. These are not for looks, I didnt get the colored ones. I bought Black ones.

I have them on my cats (clear ones) they bite at them and try to pull them off.

I was wondering if he would do that. But I only paid 11.00 with shipping. So I will just see when I get them. I dont think I will put them on him myself since I have no experiance, but will see if the groomer or vet will.
