DefaultI have come to appreciate Wigeon's color

I am not a huge fan of yellows - I know I have three of them but the funny thing is whenever I purchase anything Labrador related I go right for the black. If someone gives me something with a yellow on it I'm like "Didn't it come with a black?" Anyway I have come to realize that I appreciate Wigeon's shade of yellow. She has very light cream parts on the bottom and a darker shade on top with an even darker shade on her ears, neck, and hocks. I think it's very pretty.

    Wigeon's beautiful.

I know what you mean about color, though. I used to think the most attractive Labs are the yellos of a dark, butterscotch shade. That is, until I got Sundance, who's very similar to Wigeon in color. Now the lighter colored yellows are my favorites.

I agree, she is beautiful. Aly has simular coloring. She is so dark in some places, in fact, that my BIL calls her "brown dog."

You can see Aly's coloration in this pic:

I prefer the black labs, too.

Im with you, she is very beautiful Me and Derrick were talking the other night, and we would like the next addition to our family to be a yellow rescue. He said only if they were on the "white" side of yellow, and not red. I agree, although on here I dont think I have seen any yellows that are not attractive- there all cute. In our area they tend to be more "brown" or reddish.

I love yellows. I would like to have a yellow someday. Before Oakley, my parents and my brother each had a black. Cinder, who lived with my parents, has crossed the rainbow bridge so now we just have one black and one chocolate. I think my sister should get a yellow.
    Widgeon is beautiful.
It doesn't matter what color, they are all great!

I like yellows. But I like them to be nice and yellow Widgeon is too creme colored for me. A lot of yellows are way to "white" for me as well. I don't like fox red. Just a hint of golden on the ears, hocks and down the back. Yellows are wonderful to photograph

I like Blacks because people are inherently afraid of black dogs. I live in the country. Having a black dog is a big plus to me. However, they are not easy to photograph
