I know this isn't the most exciting post, but I'm curious to know what others do to maintain some control over the dog hair?!!??
Right now I swiffer our hardwood floors almost every other day.
What about the rest of you? What is your cleaning routine for keeping up w/ dog hair?
Just wondering if I can get some good ideas to use here.
Dyson and brushing every other day.

Mine shed but they are not serious shedders so I don't really have a cleaning routine. They get occasional brushing and of course we vacuum but that is it.
Dry swiffer the floors daily.... vacuum, use lint rollers on furniture. I also brush her a few times a week. I also lint roll Rowan too!! LOL!
Mocha's not a heavy sheader I give her fish oils which makes her shead less then I brush her occasionally and sweep when I start to see tumbleweeds. I'm not a neat freak either so I probably let it go a little further than some others.
I keep my eyes closed. ;D
one word: Roomba.
I agree - Roomba is the way to go. I still have to sweep the stairs though.
We have dog blankets on the "nice" chair and couch ... I wash them every week, and they really prevent the hair/smell from getting into the furniture. When someone is coming over, I toss them in the bottom of the hall closet and the furniture is guest-ready.
As for hair ... I broom sweep every day, and vacuum 2-3 times per week. And I vacuum/wipe the baseboards weekly.
And we're still pretty hairy most of the time ... :P
I bought this dog brush (as seen on TV one, the undercoat) and it works like a charm. I can see a difference in the shedding. Daisy my older one let me brush her and I get a lot of the undercoat off her, and Dixie lets me do it only sometimes..and she sheeds more.
