So sad how some pets are not properly taken care of. Poor Rusty.
Poor dog. How sad his owners let him get that way.
How sad! A few months ago, we saw a pair of dogs in PetSmart (owners were shopping) that were just as bad. The poor things looked like beached whales and could hardly move. We all know labbies love to eat, and a FEW extra pounds is understandable but this is extreme!! Props to the folks who tried to intervene to take care of that poor dog!
Me too, I say good for them for slapping their wrists!
So true, if left to their own devices, all Labs would weigh twice what they should.
I let Crash get too heavy. He didn't weigh twice what he should, but I do believe his weight contributed to his arthritis. Which meant he had to go on Rimadyl. Which I suspect caused his liver tumor. Speculation. But still...it's a mistake I do not intend to make again. olice:

Gone ahead, but forever in my heart:
Crash, Pit Bull x Rottweiler x Golden Retriever
The dog looks like a hog. I agree that labs would all look like that if you fed them all they would eat. I think my dog would eat until she just fell over. I swear I feed her and she comes away from the bowl looking for something else.
The owners should be ashamed! How sad for the dog.
