I received a call from the vet the other day about Mia's results, he said it was a large "organized blood clot". I thought it was strange if it was a blood clot, why no one recognized it as that & what took so long to get it diagnosed? Well the answer was in the report from Purdue. I have the official written pathology report about Mia's mass in front of me from todays apt . It was a "organized mass" but it also had vessels that extended toward the center of the mass, it was basically a tumor type growth.
The diagnosis from Purdue was hemangiosarcoma. Two patholigists reviewed Purdue's findings (her tumor was evidently VERY RARE) & they disagreed with Purdue! So they all now agree it was a very rare organized blood clot 4x4x3 cm. The reason it took so long was that Purdue did their findings, then the two Cancer specialist had to do their findings to see WHO was the correct ones. So mother hen patrol, in control!!!! They said it could take months until she fully returns to her normal self. She is slowly getting better but it is a slow process. She is at least happy since we have started her on the herbal treatments.
