As I was reading the newspaper today I was glancing over the pets section (as always) and saw someone had listed wolf X lab puppies! And are selling them at 5weeks old. There were also other breeds for sale at 4 and 5weeks. Why would someone think their puppies were ready so young?
because they are ignorant fools who have no idea what they are doing. some people apparently think our canine friends have no feelings and should be treated as an inanimate object. i agree...it just blows the mind.
Most places it's illeagel to sell them before 6 weeks. They are just lazy and in it for the money or it was an accidental litter and they are tired of fooling with them. It's sad.
My husband for some reason wants a wolf hybrid. I told him no way we'll get one of those. So, there is a demand for them, I guess. My secretary owns two wolf hybrids.
As far as letting pups go early, it might be lack of education or trying to get rid of them early as it gets harder and harder to take care of a litter as they grow older (more poop generated, more food needed, etc.).
I am actually surprised you object to this.

Some breed mixes and let them go too early. Some don't do any health clearances and breed dogs too young. There are many types of irresponsible, back yard breeders.
I was kind of puzzled myself.. but then I remember the thread in O&E and I'm trying not to judge.Originally Posted by Dani

I dont understand this either, in MD they have to be 8 wks to even be listed for sale in the newspaper. At least that is what it says under all the adds at the bottom of the page.
