My boy slowly wagged his tail as they brought him in the examining room that we were able to use for our visit. He was pretty much out of it but could walk on his own. He would not eat anything I brought (steak and chicken) but just before we left he did pick up a piece of cookie that his pet sitter had baked for him and put it in his mouth but spit it back out......that was some encouragement....hopefully by tomorrow he will eat. I am sure as long as he is not eating he will not be able to come home possibly. We took him outside for potty break and he did pee twice. He has been losing urine uncontrolably but they have been monitoring this. His arrthymia was checked and an EKG done and looked good. He had ECG electrodes taped to him and they are monitoring that and giving him Liocane but say his heart is doing well. He has quite the zipper on his chest from sternum to the family jewels.
We talked to the doctor and let her know that he would be cared for 24X7 and not out of anyones eyes and she said she knew that and would consider that in her decision to send him home.
He really likes the doctor and the students. He lights up when they come back in the room. Seems he likes them more than me right now :
Will see what tomorrow brings. Most likely they will call after rounds tomorrow. Even if he cannot come home I will most likely make the 3 hour round trip drive to go see him in the afternoon just to see for myself if there is any improvement.
I am sure he is not getting much rest in the ICU. It is so busy there night and day. When he was with us all he wanted to do is sleep. Probably was glad to be away from all the noise.
Will do an update tomorrow after morning rounds if possible.
Keep the good thoughts coming for my best boy in the world.
