The weather has been so weird this winter. How do you protect your cars and seats from labs that are full of mud and soaked from a good run in the field? I'd hate to cut them off but I can't clean my car, wash blankets, wash me, them, the floors and tub every time we go for a run.
Can anyone help with at least the car aspects? I think I'm going to have to put up with the rest.
Well we just broke down and bought an SUV : FOR THE DOGS!
I will say, su was right- it is ideal... The pups love it. When we are working in the garage at night the dogs sit at the back of the car and whine. Finally Daddy will open up the hatch and let them in their "tree house" we call it there tree house because they love it.
I have seen them lots of other places, though, including Drs. Foster and Smith and Pet Edge. It works really well, and when it's not in use, it lives in the trunk. Since my Mini has the hatchback and the rear seats fold down to make a large (no kidding!) cargo compartment, I bought a rubberized liner that fits back there for protection. As far as the slobber that makes it onto the front bucket seats, I figure dog drool is going to be the next hot thing in leather conditioning, so I don't get too worried.
We use the hammock too!!! We got ours from Petedge...It doesn't get 100% of the hair but it does a pretty good job...It was a little bit of a pain to put in and out when we first got it..but now I have it down to a science!!
