...of a 4 month old lab? She's a lab/golden cross if that matters. The vet says she's fine, but she still seems so little. She hasn't grown very much in the 2 months we've had her. Brees is 29 pounds and about 18-20" tall or so. My last two dogs were a great dane and a 100 lb, tall Old English sheepdog (both males), so they grew really quick. Maybe she is fine, and I'm just used to the huge dogs getting bigger faster.
I thought I'd sneak in a couple of pictures of her playing outside today also. Please ignore the mess in the yard. I think my kids got out every single yard toy they could find in the shed.
She's just adorable. I just love the second pic!
I think she might has grown quite a bit, but you see her every day so you might not notice it like if you haven't seen her so often. I would say her size is completely normal!
BTW Your boys are real cutie-pies!

4 months is still very young so as long as she is healthy, I would not worry. Labs variate hugely in size. They are not a large breed of dog...they are medium size. It sounds as though your girl is on the right track.
I wouldn't worry about her size. She is adorable and she may take a growth spurt and shoot up. My black lab Boo is smaller than my Yellow Rush. Both girls are wonderful members of our family. After all, that's really what it's all about. You could just be used to not big dogs but HUGE dogs and that is why she seems so small. She really looks about right to me tho. Love that second pic. Your boys are so cute!!!
I have no clue about size - just wanted to say she is sooooo adorable!
She's adorable! We got Taffy when she was almost 4 months. Your pup looks about the same size as she was (maybe bigger). Below are some of the earliest pics I have (sorry about quality - they are digital pics of film pics). And the snow pic is current - so you can see how she grew! Taffy is 8 now.
I wanted to add - I always notice your sig. Your sons are precious!!!
Thanks everyone. I'm still trying to figure out where the golden in her is, because she looks so much like a lab! lol
It probably is because I'm used to huge dogs. I know she's grown a little from when she adopted us , but our other dogs were twice her size at 4 months, lol She eats constantly (or so it seems), so I guess as long as she has an appetite and the vet says she's okay, I need to stop worrying.
aww...Taffy is adorable as are all the signature pics. I always enjoy looking at them when I'm reading posts.
I think she looks good too...it's a natural question..I ask my vet the same thing every time I take Tal in...at 4 months he was almost 40 lbs. At 5 months he is 51 lbs. So she sounds right on track to me!
Beautiful little girl too!
It is.It probably is because I'm used to huge dogs.
I remember when Angus was a puppy, I thought he was TINY. For the longest. I was worried he was going to be terrier-sized.
Crash, who we had before Angus, was a very big boy who topped out at 130 pounds. In comparison to him, everyone seemed small. So I know where you're coming from.
