For those of you whom have dogs that lift their leg to go the bathroom, do they prefer to lift one leg over the other? Or do they lift equally?
Bauer lifts his left all the time.
My two males (Lab and Lab/Pit) seem to always lift their left legs. But I have noticed them often squatting as my female Pit Bull does. Monkey see, monkey do?
For my older male, it's always the same leg. My young boy of 5 months hasn't started to lift yet.
Merlot is "right" legged, always.

Zakk is still squatting.... I wish he would start lifting his leg because he potties close to the house right now. If he started lifting his leg, he would have to go farther from the house to find something to lift his leg on. I'm hoping he will start lifting before summer so we can have nice green grass (without having to water it down where he potties).
Larry's a rightie.
Trooper lifts his right leg all of the time, never his left. He's a rightie.
Mine do both but I noticed it is usually the left.
Eddie uses both, or he squats, or leans forward or walks, doesn't always need something to lift his leg on.
Our Shih Tzus are left legged. And walk in circles until they get it right.....
Hud's "right-legged" for lifting...he will turn around and around so that he can get at the spot he wants and still pee "right-legged"
