SIMON IS FINE!!!!
Oh my gosh, I cannot tell you how relieved I am. I just got the call a few minutes ago. I have been just beside myself all day with worry. He reportedly passed his bile acids test "with flying colors."
THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU JL, for your prayers, positive thoughts and well-wishes! You've done it again!
Still need to figure out what is causing his low numbers, but I think we have definitely ruled out the worst case scenario. I am taking him in Friday for a water deprivation test, which will measure his ability to concentrate urine after a period without water. Should he fail this test, it could be indicative of a condition such as diabetes insipidus. My understanding is that is very manageable, with diet and medication.
OR, sometimes after a period of being deprived of water, sometimes this condition (medullary washout) rights itself and needs no further treatment.
Anyway, thank you Lord. What began as a very tense stressful day has now become very bright and joyful.
AND, we had our Christmas luncheon at work. One of my bestest guy friends drew my name, and he got me a rockin' purple lava lamp!!
