    ExclamationHelp, what is this (pics)?

Bauer has these weird red circles on him, and I can't figure out what they are. From my research, I have found everything from lyme disease to insect bites to ring worm. He is going to the vet tomorrow morning, but in the meantime . . . any ideas?

There is a lighter red circle in the upper left, but it looked like the bright one earlier today. Whatever it is, the circles disappear pretty quickly. I have checked him over pretty close, and I have found 4 spots. Anyone know what it is?

I don't know where you are, but here in NH we have black flies this time of year. CJ would often get black fly bites that look like this if he was out in the yard for a while. We have a cream from the vet to use to prevent the bites now.

Abbey had the same thing last summer and I freaked out because I thought it was ringworm! The vet said that it was just a fly bite and should go away within a day or so.

This is what it looked like because I posted when it happened, too!

I am willing to bet they are black fly bites. But, it is good that you are going to be visiting the vet--just to be sure.

gnat bites. Mine get them every spring due to the nasty biting gnats that come out now.

Bogey had the same thing about a year ago. We just happened to be going to the vet and I asked her about it. She said staph infection. But he also had a very light red rash on his belly too.

It looks like ringworm. Check with your vet, would be my advice.
