Okay, this is from Joan...she posted this on another forum last night.....
Chance has landed. I was lost in the "north area" of Newark when I got a call from Dani. Chance had arrived in cargo and was howling. When the cargo guys looked in the crate & got a glimpse of Chance through the slots, they panicked, thinking he has somehow broken his leg in flight. : Poor guys.
I got one of the cargo people on the phone & we had a play-by-play as he guided me in to the Eva cargo building. Once I got there, we were out and on our way within about 10 minutes. By then Chance had settled and he slept all the way home.
Back home Chance was glad to get out, have a drink of water and a bowl of kibble. This poor little guy is a mess!!!! You all have to keep good thoughts for him and his recovery. Tomorrow we have an appointment at 2 PM at Red Bank Veterinary Hospital Physical Rehabilitation Center. Chance will be seen by Dr. Starr & Dr. Breickner. And what do you want to bet - the rest of the staff as well. You can check them out at this link. http://www.rbvh.net/services/physical.htm
I will give you a report after we get home. I think his front end will be a reasonably easy fix. The rear is going to be more difficult. I have the feeling I am going to be watching a lot of TV, working on getting those limbs reoriented & moving correctly.
When things settle down and I have a little time, I will put up a web page for Chance so you can follow his progress.
So, when she updates us on the visit and the website goes up, I will post an update.

I'll keep checking, and of course sending lots of good thoughts. You guys are incredible.

Thanks, Dani. Joan sounds hopeful.

I've followed his story on the other forum. It sounds like he'll have a good shot at help with Joan...she's had experience with swimmers. Keeping good thoughts for this little guy
I will be praying for that little one.
Our thoughts and prayers that Chance will be able to live a reasonably happy life. He has already gotten the best gift of getting in with a rescue that was willing to help him with the problems he had.
Get better soon Chance!

Thank you so much for letting us follow his story. Good luck, Chance!

I feel so bad for this little guy. I'm going to keep him in my prayers.
If that's the same Red Bank Vet Hospital that we took Tango to for his spleen removal - he is in excellent hands. I know he's at a rehab, but I think it's part of the same hospital. They are fantastic down there!

I'm glad to hear he landed safe and sound it sounds like he's in great hands now. Thanks for the update.
Healing thoughts to little Chance. I really hope he will recover and live a painfree life. You are all amazing to give this little boy a second chance! THANK YOU!!!! Keep us posted.
