And after :-X :-X :-X
Thankfully, he hasn't scratched at it at all since we got home yesterday. He DOES NOT like me
putting the creme on it though.

wow that is pretty why do they always seem to get them under their ears like that?
ewwwww
our golden "casey" used to get them allllllllll the time, I became a pro at shaving the area carefully (if I couldn't we called the vet) and then putting the creme on. My mom said he got them once or twice as a pup and then they stopped but when he got older they popped up again.

Yea, that's what the vet said Stace, that they are very common in Golden Retreivers because of their longer hair. Weird.
I can't even look at it. My husband said "that's not bad at all"

Is he responding to the medication?
Tell Frankie I send smooches to his boo-boo
I didn't like to look @ Casey's either, and I always put on a rubber glove to put the creme on

Poor Frankie, that looks painful. But I'm sure it feels better already without the hair.
