I did it today...
Not too crazy, considering I was walking 3 dogs with 3 different mindsets. Lucy who wants to just plow full steam ahead, Cricket who wants to stop and eat scat and chase chipmunks, and Ruby(my sister's dog) who just wants to walk daintily by my side. We will definately do it again tomorrow morning...Ruby is here with us for a couple of days.
I am no Cesar but it wasn't total chaos.
Glad it worked for you!! I almost always walk all 3 of mine together. I use 3 separate leashes as well so that each can pull and tug and stop without affecting the others too much!!
3 all at once everyday??? I AM impressed!
Every morning I walk my 3.* I use separate leashes too!*
For the most part I've got Ruffy's & Sparky's leashes in my left hand and keep Luna (who's blind in her left eye) on my right.
The first couple of days it was a comedy of errors, and I did the leash dance coming & going.* After 2 years it's easier to predict what they're gonna do & how they'll react as we go our merry way.* We definitely do not walk Caesar's Way . . .*
BTW . . . the pulling & running & jumping (not them . . . ME!) have done wonders controlling my osteoporosis . . .* *
Have fun w/your gang while Ruby's visit lasts!
You are a BRAVE woman!

I envy you!!! I can't walk 2 at once :/ Abby has terrible leash manners that we constantly battle
~Abby, Molly, and Penny (the honorary lab)
Yeah, Mol! It does get easier... You want to know who is the WORST in my group? STELLA!!! Oh my, she makes me crazy...she pull harder than either of the two Labs. The two Labs walk wonderful together...but add her in and we're a mess!
Post of pic of Ruby!!!

I also walk my three together every day. The important thing is to have a system. Bunker must always walk in the gutter on my left; if somebody cuts her off then she simply stops walking until she gets her way. Darby prefers the middle so that she can body slam the dogs on both sides and Chauncy just takes what's left.
If everybody is lollygagging then I just mention food and all of a sudden everybody is lined up and headed for home.
The weird thing is that whenever one of them has to pee, the others just stop and wait without being told. It's like a little honor system.
I'm composed of 85% kick-ass and 15% crippling self-doubt.
I'm going to have to master this task. Not quiet sure yet HOW I'll do it, but I'm sure I will come up with a system
Wow, I am impressed! I walk my 2 daily, but I had to stop for about 6mths just to get Moose in line. Once Moose would walk next to me without problems I added Sky back in. Mine tend to feed off of each others emotions so I needed to know I had at least Moose in check since he is the bigger of the 2.
I acutally walk with both dogs on my left using 2 separate leashes. They literally walk side by side. I shorten the leash and use my left hand to correct as needed. On occasion I will walk with one in my right and one on the left, but I found it much more comfortable having them both on my left.
I have no idea what I'd do if I had 3 to walk
