Yipee! Not without a questionable moment or two though. At the grooming/great a friendly stranger (without the other dog) station the guy got down on his knees....Red's level. Well Red took that as an invitation to play, especially since Red's owner wrestles with him. It took a few 'turn Red around in a circle' redirection of attention attempts before Red didn't try and get amorous with the guy too.
Oiy, I am SOOOOO glad that it done!
There were about 7 or 8 other dogs that did not pass, of maybe 25 or so that were taking the test. Several did not deserve to, as they lunged in a vicious manner at other dogs in the test. One dog would not come to the owner on the recall despite being given several tries at it. One couldn't walk politely on a leash in a crowd...and I am not sure why some of the others failed, as I became a 'milling crowd member' once Red was finished.
Now, back to my competition dogs!
I know that's a load off your mind! Congratulations! I am glad you took him through it...I'm sure it helped having so much experience at the wheel
