...to be on the board of directors at our training club!
Apparently they want me to be "properties manager" or some such thing. I have no idea what that is or what it entails. I need to call the lady who's doing it now and figure out what it's about.
I'm a teeny bit disappointed that they didn't ask me to be their newsletter editor. But, I don't think anyone down there knows I am an art director and can also squeak out a little writing when I have to.
Anyway, if I decide to do it, it would mean that I would get two years of benefit for one year of service. And the benefits are: FREE classes! And use of the building whenever I want (as long as I've reserved it). SWEET!!! Having two dogs in classes can get very expensive!
I'll let you know what I find out about it
Connie and "The Boys":
Angus, Yellow Lab, CGC, RE, CD
Simon, d.b.a. Flat Coated Retriever, CGC, RE, CD
Gone ahead, but forever in my heart:
Crash, Pit Bull x Rottweiler x Golden Retriever
Sounds like a good deal to me since your there so much anyway. Properties manager I would think would entail making sure the building/property was maintained, keeping the booking schedule....
Sounds good Connie! And if it turns out to be something you aren't interested in, you can always use the "it was an honour just to be nominated" speach!

Well congratulations to you....they have a winner if you decide to take it!!
They would be lucky to have you!
Just check out what it means. If it means "sets up the 'properties' before every class" you might want to demur politely.
that's awesome news! congratulations! ;D

Sounds fun. Soon you will be president. Clubs run out of people for officers, etc... they get around to everyone eventually
Whooo Hooo Connie!!! Let's hope it isn't anything like Nathan mentioned - a set up the properties every event kinda thing.
