Went to the vet on Friday. Verdict:
Bunny: interdigital cyst (infected, even though it looked way better than it did last week)
Cole: a little trickier. His also looked a lot better than last week. She was pretty sure in the exam that it looked like a histiocytoma but upon lab scrutiny, there weren't many histiocytes present. There was some other kind of cell present that the vet said is usually only seen on cats! So she thinks it may have been a histiocytoma that he licked and bit and got infected.
Belle gets a round of VERY expensive antiobiotics and Cole gets an application of animax 3x a day. All in all this cost me $186!
Anyway thought I'd let you know the twins are doing well. :-)
Thanks about the update! I have been thinking about them.

Well that's pretty good news. It also made me wonder... do you still have your kitty? I always forget you have/had one.

Glad it wasn't anything very serious!
What a relief....even though it's still an expensive one.
Thanks guys. It sure was weird, them coming up within a week of eachother.
Forgot to update: the dogs have lost quite a bit of weight! Bunny is down to a svelte 68 lbs! She weighed 20 lbs more than that a year ago. Amazing considering I feel like they get less exercise now. Cole is at 71, down about 14 lbs or so from a year ago. The vet thought they looked awesome. Regardless, I don't like Bunny's weight that low (she's down 9 lbs since June, Cole is down 6) and so I upped her food to 4 cups/day of the Eagle Pack. Now she gets the same amount as the boy.
Nance - both my cats live with my parents now. When I was showing my house, I had Mom and Dad take them for me and since their cat died in January they really never intended to give them back, LOL. They are doing well. My cat Tasha (siamese/tabby mix) was diagnosed hyperthyroid - she lost 2 lbs within a few months after she went to stay with them, which was nearly 30% of her body weight. So she's on meds now and doing good. They act like they don't even know the dogs when I bring them to visit.
