I bought Gigi a new toy yesterday, a purple rope tug of war thing with two tennis balls on it. I brought it home around 3. By 5 the tennis balls were history. She sat down and methodically tore them to shreds. I said to her why are you tearing up your new toy? and her daddy said, what's the fun of a toy if you can't tear it up? Point taken. ;D She's been carrying the rope part around, though. Maybe she just didn't like the balls being on it?

Zoe will shred those tennis balls attached to toy in record time too.
However, she won't even touch a real tennis ball. Go figure. :

    Cinnamon says Power Chewers Unite.

She can shred a toy in no time flat. But then she brings you he pieces of material for weeks to play with her with.

Before we got Emma, we had some of the same doggie toys for years. Our Wheaten never destroyed a toy. Now, she did destroy every other item in the house, but not toys.
Emma is the opposite. Destroys every toy she has. Her pool toys, we actually put away after a swim so she can't trash them. But especially anything with a knot, like you described. She lovessss to get the knots out. And caps off of bottles is her other favorite past time.
I wish she didnt do this because I'd love for her to have some nive fluffy toys to keep!

That is the reason I purchased four stuffed animals for a buck at a garage sale this past weekend. I usually buy a bunch for her "winter stash and trash"
