New puppy picture...still no name UPDATE:WE HAVE A NAME
Well, we went our for breakfast and couldn't leave the restaurant until we picked out a name.
And since most people thought I was making a mistake getting another puppy (trust me, it wasn't
only you folks) we decided to call him our little Boo-Boo. But we just call him Boo for short. That and
he is so scary, we thought Boo would be sweet. Nearing Halloween time, up here in NY leaves starting to change,
Boo is perfect.
Other runners up: Gunner, Bullet, Duncan, Dempsey
Although many thought it a mistake getting a puppy so close in age to my Gertie (4 1/2 mo.) I am happy to say we have happily survived the past 3 days.
Things are going much better than I expected. Our family starts classes with Gertie next Tuesday & will bring the puppy in a few more weeks. Now if we can only agree on a name* :
Thanks for everyones advice, whether or not I really wanted to hear it, I do appreciate your opinions.
While you're deciding what to name him/her, I would suggest you don't give the puppy a name that sounds anything like Gertie's. That's where we blew it with Gigi and George. If I scold Gigi, George thinks he's getting scolded (Gigi is oblivious to scoldings whether they're hers or George's). If we speak to one, both think we're talking to them. It's compounded by the fact that we often call George "Georgie" and of course, that sounds very much like "Gigi."
I think the puppy looks like a Beauregard if he's a boy. ;D
Cute baby. Looks like a Dory to me. My Great Grandfather in Newfoundland had labs and one of his was named Dory after the high sided boates the lobstermen would use. The pup has the same expression this happy go lucky labby of his had.
