Today I was asked by one of our members if Copper was a silver.*
To be honest I don't have a clue.* When we have all "talked" about silvers I have always thought about Copper.
All I know about Copper is she is coming up on 10 years of living with us.* January 3rd she will have reached that 10 year mark.* We knew her for 3 years before she "moved in".* *She lived a few houses away from us and would run away from home to come be with us.* after her owner tried to move to another part of town about 45 mins away she STILL found her way back to our house.* He never came back to get her.* Shes been with us since that day.
Heres some pictures.
I voted no.
She is a sweet faced choc
When you see Maggie next to Cooper, she definitely doesnt look like a chocolate :-\ At least for me, but I dont know much about "Silver" Labs
she looks like an adorable choco to me.
Defnitely doesn't have the typical "silver" face
hmm the silvers I have seen have more of a greyish tint.
She just looks like a light shade of brown (chocolate) ;D

she is goreous that's for sure! i agree she doesn't have the silver face.
I'd say she's Milk Chocolate and Maggie is Dark Chocolate!
I don't think so, Apollo's dad was a silver, mom a chocolate. Apollo is a dark liver brown, I think Copper is a beautiful milk chocolate. You could google some silver websites and look at the adult dogs for comparison, doesn't really matter either way she's a beautiful milk chocolate brown.
I don't see any Weim in that dog.
BTW (and this is not related to my previous comment), she is a cutie!
I have always thought that she is a lovely shade of yummy milk chocolate.* Reminds me of chocolate milk. I think she's beautiful!
If there are supposedly no standards . . . would it be possible to answer without it being a guesstimate?
