DefaultAnyone know anything about Flyball classes?

My son- 16 yrs, would like to take a flyball class with Emma.
Does anyone in here participate in flyball?

I think he should wait for her to be finished her obedience classes.

I dabbled in flyball with my jack russells. It's a blast, but I recommend waiting until your girl is full grown because it's very hard on their elbows. If you have any specific questions, I'd be happy to help

I did all summer (and we are still going!).

It takes quite abit of patience and half the of the work is for us humans And yes, they recommand waiting until the dogs are at least a year (depending on the breed). It's very much like obedience for us (meaning we have to concentrate and make the right movements/command) but much more fun for the dog.

At first we worked on recall quite abit. With our courses we took our time to master each step before moving on. This means after 4-5mts Rock and I are still working the "Turn" on the box with NO tennis ball. It's alot of fun but you can't go expecting the dogs to be running thru the course. Though I hear some teachers move faster.

I can share some pictures of our classes if you want. Give you an idea of what we worked on?
