Ok have any of you seen what AKC is up to now? :
It seems AKC has entered into an agreement with Petland stores to register animals (full registration) at the store....This is a bonus for puppymills and a terrible thing for responsible breeders. AKC says they are losing money because people are not registering thier dogs so they think this is a way to resolve their "not-for-profit" status. How terrible for those who care about the breed, any breed for that manner, and even worse puppymills ..they will continue to prosper.
Just my 2 cents....
Sad isn't it

Gone ahead, but forever in my heart:
Crash, Pit Bull x Rottweiler x Golden Retriever
oh no, that's terrible, I didn't register Duke because I didn't think it was necessary, I'm not showing him or hunting with him. Is it the same for the Canadian Registration?? I don't think puppy mills have a hard time to registar thier litters, this is why they exist, isn't it?
not good... >
yeah, I read about this last week. I don't know if it's final...but it makes me want to puke.

Fight for no more petstores. Do what you can - write to your Legislators, get on line and look for groups that are feverishly looking to end the sale of dogs thru petstores. I know I've also done a few petitions on line. I can't stand the thought of those friggin businesses. Physically makes me sick.
