Yet another rescue update...
I hope you don't tire of hearing our stories...but this one is kind of bitter sweet.
In December, I make the journey down to Mississippi with a friend to meet up with a good friend from the New Orleans area and pick up 5 puppies that were part of the aftermath of Katrina. Sadly, 2 of the 5 didn't make it out of the vet's office. But we headed north with 3 pups...2 boys and a girl. They were about 6 weeks old when we got them. They were named Etta, Miles and Dizzy to honor the jazz sound of the south. Miles and Dizzy were adopted together by one family and Etta was adopted by another.
About 2 weeks ago, Etta's (now Nola) family called me and said they wanted to adopt another dog because they've had such a wonderful time with Nola and felt it was a good time to add to their family. I naturally thought of Bo, a 4 year old yellow male that was being fostered close to them. He was recovering from HW treatment.
Well, today, Bo got a clean bill of health and was adopted by Nola's family!
This is Nola when I had her in late December:
This is Nola today:
This Bo when I dropped him off at his foster home:
and this is Bo today!
Two great endings in one perfect family for two deserving dogs.
