just wondering if your dog wears boots or a sweater to go for walks and such in the winter??
Nope Oona wouldn't stand for that stuff on her. I just try and avoid the salt on the roads and wipe her feet with tepid water when we get home.
I have booties for Rocky. I get ALOT of looks about it too.
I walk him in city streets with salk and all that so it's to protect him from that AND to keep those paws dry so I do not have to DRY them every time we come back

This will be our first Winter with Zora, so I don't know what she'll want. I did purchase a wool dog coat and other dog stuff on eBay. Only got it because it was a GREAT deal.
i was thinking about getting ginger some booties to protect her feet from the road...i've noticed her feet are getting really rough. but i found some paw wax that says it protects from the elements so i think i will try that first.
i think i might also get her a coat instead of a sweater.
I don't think my dogs would ever speak to me again. LOL They're Labradors, not foofoo dogs.

The only winter gear I have for Lexi is a Land's End Pet Squall jacket.
It is not really to keep her warm, it is light blue & has reflective trim on it. Since I walk her early in the morning (say like 5:30 am) it is dark a good bit of the year & I feel safer with her having something reflective on. At least that way, when car headlights hit her, they can see something is there. Without it, her dark brown fur just blends into the darkness.
My pretty girl, Lexi!
Lucy and clothing....no way...she would never forgive me..blaze orange bandana for hunting season...that is it.
Labs were developed to withstand pretty cold temperatures, so I don't worry about them getting too cold on a walk I worry more about the heat. Mine seem to really melt when it's hot. :-\
