DefaultPeeing in house @ 7 months

Corby trained easily (bell-trained) before 3 months, and has never had an accident in the house until this week, when 3 times !! he peed right in front of us.* I'm going back to basic training, and the only thing I can think of is that he was fixed on September 1 and that he was at a boarding kennel for 3 days from September 7 to 10.* Has this happened to anyone else?* Do you think there is a connection?

um...I'd rule out a UTI or other med issue.

I would have her checked for a urinary tract infection - seems odd she would just start doing this, unless is was medically related.

Thanks for your replies.* Corby is a boy ... does that reduce the likelihood of UTI?

Males can get bladder infections. Take a urine specimen to the vet to be sure he's okay before you start crating him again.

Also clean up the area that he is peeing in with a product like Nature's Miracle because no matter how well you clean it he can still smell the urine.

It could be a UTI or it could just be a momentary regression...Phoebe had a couple of those around that age and it was never a UTI...never figured out what the problem was but we crated her over again and praised her big time for going outside and things went back to normal. Oh, and yes, do use Nature's Miracle, it works wonders.

First, I'd make sure he doesn't have a UTI. Other than that, it sounds like he has had a good bit of stress in his life lately - what with being neutered and then being boarded out. He's still a baby, and babies sometimes have accidents, especially in times of stress. If he doesn't have a UTI I would just watch him very closely for a while, crate him when I couldn't watch him, and just give him some time.

I agree, rule out the UTI. Lots of changes in his life all at once. Did he stay overnight when he was neutered? Then in a kennel for 3 days a week later. Might just be stress as he is still young
