We brought back 19 pure bred labs from Suffolk Va.(thanks to LILRR)* Here's a picture of these babies while they were trapped living in swamps with no human contact except the breeder feeding them once in a while.* Their food would usually float away in the murky water.* They had no dry place except for a few makeshift doghouses that they'd have to climb on top of in their attempt to stay dry.* These guys were caged in for some reason, many of them were not.* It's a miracle they survived, albeit many were seriously ill and needed extensive care.* Look how frightened they were of us (people).* BTW...believe it or not, this was not the "worst" rescue I've done, there was one even worse.
poor poor puppers :'(
I get a red X for the picture but I think I'm glad. I was a transporter for Ubie, Shredder and Sean from the hell hole in Arkansas three years ago and they were pretty pitiful creatures then.
Linny got all the boys to good homes and they are now thriving.
Seamus and Flynn
What a terrible existence........ :'(
How can anyone treat an animal like that and still sleep at night?
Breaks my heart....how can this happen?
Thank you for rescuing them! You are an angel.
It makes me want to cry bc you know that somewhere in America this is happening to some other dogs at this very moment. :'(
Randi, thank goodness for people like you, who are willing to love a dog who doesn't quite understand what it means to be loved. How long have you had Duncan now? We have had Tatum for three months and we are seeing glimmers of happiness and confidence.
I'm Jenn. Keeper of two labs in my home and one forever in my heart.
Throw the ball, damn it!
Thank goodness you got a hold of them. Some things I just can't get my head around - how can people abuse the innocents ?
Nothing shocks me anymore.
Thank you for helping these babies.
