We have started to leave Abby out of her crate for short periods. She will be 8 months on the 15th of Sept. She has been doing well. Some of you may remember Molly, the chewed remotes, shoes, purse etc. She could not be trusted to have free run of the house till she was about 15 months old.
Not sure if it is because Molly is there or what, but last night we had a lab club meeting & we let Abby out of her crate while we were gone...3 1/2 hours.
Came home & everything was perfect.
But we all know how it is with labs....when you least expect it....they do something.
But I am proud of her & Molly is teaching her to behave. I hope!!
Oh man Georgie, Frankie is 17 months and I can't even imagine doing that yet! Good luck!!!!

Good girl Abby!!!
We've been doing the same around here. We leave our Molly out with our Abby and she hasn't done anything yet *knock on wood* We come home and she's usually laying in her spot on the sofa.

Woo hoo Abby (& Molly)!
CoCo, also 8 months, is experiencing her first day of having freedom in... the back porch/work/laundry room! lol! We're not ready to let her out in the entire house, but at least now she'll have a bit more space and we can leave her with water and some Kong toys.

Good girl Abby. When I was growing up my mother had a miniature poodle who never got into trouble. Enter her puppy and the two of them tore the house apart. Maybe they thought they were labs. ;D
Same here...Emma is just a year and has not earned this right as of yet lol.Originally Posted by jzgrlduff
We do let her out all night and she sleeps on the bed with us but when we leave, she goes in the crate.
