    DefaultPoop Question??

Sorry...I hate talking about poop, but we've been having a few problems!! On Monday Fergus woke up with his first case of the ruins & it was BAD He continued having the ruins pretty much every hour all day & night Monday. He slept through the night that night and woke up about 5:30am on Tuesday and went one more time (very small amount). We did what everyone recommended and didn't feed him for 24 hours and then started feeding him small meals of rice & chicken on Tuesday and continued that for two days. For the two days he was eating rice we had no poop at all! So we slowly started to add small amounts of his kibble into the rice, but once we did that the poop came back and it still wasn't what we would call "healthy". It's been like that for two days now and we are still just feeding him meals of about 1 cup rice & 1/2 cup kibble. On Monday when he had diarrhea it was the consistency of water and since we reintroduced the kibble it's what we've been calling "soft serve icecream" Sorry :P About 3 days before this whole mess started we had to switch his kibble from Eagle Pack Chicken & rice to Eagle Pack Duck & Oatmeal (they store was out of our usual). Do you think it's the Duck & Oatmeal that's not agreeing with him or could it be something else?? We're not sure if we should return the food and find the Chicken & Rice or if it's another trip to the Vets. I was going to go down to the store today and maybe pick up a can of pumpkin to see if giving him a spoonful of that will help and then go from there ???

It might be the duck. Zoe couldn't handle duck. See if you can get him back on chicken after a few more days of rice/chicken mixture.

Thanks! I think we'll give that a try. He doesn't usually have a sensitive stomach for new things, but maybe the duck is the culprit!
