Please try not to worry! I know you will anyway, but try for lots of distractions this weekend. A soft lump is almost always benign. The vet can do a needle biopsy and should be able to tell a great deal with just a few cells. Many ver's are willing to make up extra slides that you can see through even the school microscopes, which can be a fun school project to see the different cells.
i found a lump on my pwd, andy last winter; turned out to be a subcutaneous 'nothing'. i hope you're as lucky.
*i hate cancer! cancer touches everyone indiscriminately.
Try not to worry too much. The last round turned out to be nothing for concern. Paddy is a minefield of little lumps and bumps that are nothing but fatty cysts. It's just sort of a lab thing I've come to learn over the years.

Dang!! Praying it's just a fatty thingy!!
Hope it's just a fatty lump and nothing serious. (((HUGS)))
Thoughts and prayers for both you and Zoe.
Good thoughts for Zoe!!! ::smooches::
Even knowing that soft lumps are usually nothing to worry about doesn't stop the worrying until confirmed by the vet does it? I'm sure it will be fine and hope that you can take your mind off it over the weekend.
Won't someone please feed me!
Will keep her in my thoughts and prayers.
We'll keep our fingers and paws crossed for Zoe! Keep us posted
