    DefaultJumpin' Judy

Last March Judy jumped into this empty cement pond, about 4' deep and couldn't get out.* - Twice!* Both times, I came to her rescue, put a chair in there, she jumped on the chair then out.* I even put a 3' wire fence around it to keep her out.* She stayed out until last Wednesday night at 3:30AM, all 3 dogs were going crazy barking at the window.* I let them out, but Judy didn't come back.* She was in the pond having it out with a squirrel. The squirrel got out and I had to get a chair to let Judy out.* *Today, she jumped in there again.* I went over to her, scolded her and told her "You can just stay in there."* Went into the house to let her think about it for a while.* After about 15 min, I went out to get her and there she was at the door, ears pinned back.* I don't know if she jumped out or pulled herself up.* The wire fence was still up and the flower pots that I have all around were undisturbed.* Wish I knew how she did it.

Judy! Be careful, sweetie, you could get hurt!

Have you thought about signing her up for agility?

I'm worried that she may hurt herself.
She would love agility, but I couldn't keep up with her.

No. It has been there empty for years, and I thought about putting water and fish in it, but then Mitzi would always be jumping in the water.

I think maybe she's trying to tell you to fill up the darn pond so she can have a dip!

You may have a Jumpin' Judy Houdini. She sounds like a very determined girl.
