Do you put the Kongs in the dishwasher to clean? Does it affect the rubber??

I have put mine in the dishwasher a couple of times and so far it hasn't hurt it at all.

Top shelf of the dishwasher every couple of days. I've got 3 and they have lasted since I got Nellie in January 2001.

I put both my red and black ones in the top rack and have had no problems.

I just rinse under hot water and use dish soap on the outside if needed.

I use dish soap and a soft brush and clean inside and out then set on the big end to drain and dry. Mine haven't been lasting too long, even the black ones. Boo will have them chewed up in a matter of weeks. Maybe I should buy stock in Kongs :

Zakk doesn't chew his but he does lay one heck of a licking on it to get all the stuffing out ;D. I usually soak his in some hot water and the leftover stuffing will come right out.... I'll have to get a small brush to make it faster.
