    DefaultDog beds...

I'm thinking of buying Emma a new dogbed! But what kind of dogbed is good/not good? Which kind of dogbed do you have?

Up untill last year each dog had her own sleeping bag that we folded in half to zip and then over again (from head to foot way) and I even made a like a pillow case to put them in so they would stay together. That way we can wash them easy!
With Bailey and Annie gone now we have a CHEAP dog bed for Copper but she would rather sleep on the dirty clothes.
Maggie and Dakota sleep in my bed so they dont need doggie beds!

I got this fantastic-looking, fancy one (on eBay) that Toby will only very occasionally sleep on. The cats, however, LOVE it. So I'm not sure that I'd recommend it on its functional merits or its lab-appeal. But at least it looks good in the living room.

We also spent a fortune and bought three Orvis Tough Chew beds. They are wonderful and clean up very well. Aly had hers with her when she was at the hospital, and the hospital staff were afraid it would get ruined. On the contrary, a washing has left it good as new. If your dog rips it, they will either return your money or send you a new bed (only once, and they will only return money).

There is an error on their website (unless they have fixed it). The website states that the medium size rectangular bed is for a 70 lb dog, and it should read a LARGE bed is for a 70 lb dog.

    Good luck!

I've got 2 from Fosters & Smith (which I buy the cedar/fluff refills for, once a year) and just ordered a Kuranda for our deck.

My dogs like to sleep differently...Carter likes to stretch out and Maggie likes to curl up. Carter has a very large rectangular 8" thick ortho bed from PetSmart. Maggie has a oval shaped donut type bed from Orvis. The shapes allow them to sleep how they like to.
