    DefaultMercedez Vet visit Update

Well we just picked up Mercedez from the vet. Last night she seemed to be in so much pain that she couldn't stop breathing fast and her eyes looked like she had been given a valium. Unfortunately both the cup and ball are moving again and not allowing the muscle to grow through. There is no infection but the vet believes that antibiotics should help her get through the next few weeks. He is going to be on vacation for 2 weeks so we scheduled another appointment in the beginning of Sept. for a check-up. If she is no better in 2 weeks we will have to re-operate. But for now she is coming home to dinner, a marrow bone, and Carvel Ice Cream Cake for her 4th Birthday today! Thank you all for your concern and I will post after her appointment in a few weeks.

She was operated originally in April of 05' and again in March of 06'. The recovery time is 2 months so I am very sad to learn that she could have hurt herself after that time frame! How do you keep a 4 year old pup calm for 6 months. That is no life. Now that we have moved to a new house, if surgery is necessary, she can have her own floor with access to the outside with no steps. We are hoping that is not the case!

Poor Mercedez. I really hope she doesn't have to go through another operation. I'll be keeping her in my prayers. Brigetta is jealous of Mercedez's birthday dinner!!!
