I am SO very greatful that my youngest 2 puppers are crate trained. I don't think I could be this calm to sit here and worry IF we are going to be evacuated.
We started crate training because Maggie ate my bed. then we crated Dakota because we didnt want her to eat anything she shouldnt!
So I am VERY VERY VERY greatful for the crate!!!!!!
The crate is wonderful! I used to live in Hilton Head, SC and we were evacuated several times due to hurricanes and having crate trained dogs definitely helps! I'm so sorry you're going through all of this and I hope everyone stays safe.

I know the shelters in Showlow take pets during the Rodeo-Chetisky fire so people were camping on the lawn of the high school where the shelter was set up with their dogs. The people who had crate trained dogs have it so much easier. The Humane Society was over run with pets and most people wanted to keep them with them.
Good Luck and I hope they can stop the fire.
