OMG, how cool! I was at Pt. Isabel last week and usually take Cassie there every couple of weeks. I'm in Martinez and maybe we could meet there sometime. I've love to hook up with other JL folks!
I'm in Concord! Right off Hwy 4 by the old Naval Weapons Station. I don't know what your schedule looks like, but we're going Friday, meetup with us!Originally Posted by The H Mom
That sounds fun!!! Both you humans and the doggies will have a blast!!! Point Isabelle park sounds like a wonderful place! I wish I lived close to somebody at the forum (I think I have to move to the states ;D ) Don't forget your camera on Friday!

Pt. Isabel is a park built on reclaimed land, a former dump. You can still see concrete and rebar sticking out of the ground in places. One of things that makes non-Bay Area people roll their eyes when I tell them about the park is Mudpuppy's, the combination dogwash/espresso bar. I must say it's awfully handy, and the pastries are really good! (Although you have to watch out for jumping Lab muffin thieves.)
Here we are after a fetch session (him) and a double shot (me):

What a great park! Wish we had something like that.
Wow, lots of CA people frequenting the same park!
Isn't it great meeting fellow J/L-ers?

I wanna meet the JL'ers!
That sounds awesome!
And LOL @ Nathan.... the dorky man in the foreground!
Its funny, there are actually 2 from my around my area, and I know if I went to more dog events I would run into them eventually... and I will... someday!

I also live in the East Bay and am hoping to meet up with you JL'ers when I get my Lab!
(Still waiting for the guide dog peeps to match us up.) ;D
I didn't know you were in the East Bay too. I always admire Ronan's picture.Originally Posted by Labmom2b
Those are great photos Nathan; I can't wait to go. We're planning on hitting the cafe after the walk/swim so we can have some coffee and maybe get the pups groomed. I may start a new thread and see how many bay area folks are here. It would be really great if we could plan a big get together during the GGLRC 2006 Specialty Show in October. I think there are some out-of-town JLers coming out then.
That's a great idea!Originally Posted by putertutor
