    DefaultWalk off that excess weight

Last year M&J both weighed 92#. I had them on about two and a half cups of dry food a day with an occasional pig ear as a treat and they didn't lose weight until I started them on a daily 30-45 min "power" walk. Last month Judy weighed 86# (before she stole the kielbasa). I had Mitzi to the vet yesterday and she weighed 79.9#. They both look just right now and I can increase their food as long as they continue the walk.

Well done. I bet they are feeling better too.

I increased Ernies 20 min walks to 2 a day as well as cut down his food and this helps keep his weight down.

And they complain about their rations being cut but they think that longer or extra walk is just the greatest....little do they know the method behind our madness.

    That's really awesome!

The new walking regime is really helping me too. I'm actually looking forward to being able to go for some longer walks, but I don't think Lexie is ready yet.

I think that's just terrific! I bet they look great!

We walk at least an hour every day, plus off-leash runs, water retrieves, etc. In addition to keeping Sami fit, I find that it does wonders for me, both physically and mentally.

Congrats on the weight loss! That's so awesome!! ;D WTG!

I haven't been walking as much this summer, but Kevin keeps it up with the boys. He's lost a lot of weight since we got Angus. And I really never felt better than when I was walking them with him last fall, winter and spring. Can't wait for cooler weather!

In all, I guess they get about an hour a day.
