...this woman who wanted to me to take her black lab male that she gave away for free to a friend that wanted to breed her chocolate bitch...but already owned a black male. ??? she apparently moved and couldn't keep him and this person wanted to breed ( >) so she gave him away for free. Upon asking why it was her problem if she already gave the dog away....and she said it was because now the dog wasn't getting along with her other black male...and then when I asked if they were still both intact she said yes, and I said there is your problem...and she said well the got along before....I said yes, before he impregnated the female and claimed her as his. HELLO.
So she gets mad at me and tells me that she went through all of that for me to tell her no...and I said yup...but in my eyes, its not your problem anymore....so she should stop worrying. If the dogs are fighting get them neutered...it doesn't sound like they should be breeding anyways. :
Sigh. Dumb people.

Gotta love people sometimes :
Really, I don't know how you listen to these stories. I don't.
I was at the shelter the other day, picking up the boys' portrait. Well, I'm not going to drop by the shelter and not go say hello to the dogs. But as I was visiting with them, all I could think was, "Wonder what your story is? Why are you here? Look at how sweet you are...who could've let you down this way?"
If I had to regularly have conversations with these people...UGH. I just don't know if I've got the stomach for it.

I would have little patience for those people. Bless you for doing it!
It's a lot easier to love dogs more than people.
Honestly, it takes a special kinda person to work in rescue... someone with a big heart and a tough skin...

I don't know how you do it, Dani, but bless you for it.
I don't think I'd have the patience to deal with people like that on a daily basis!! :
I couldn't do it either, kudos to you for putting the dog's needs first.
That pretty much sums it up. I couldn't do itHonestly, it takes a special kinda person to work in rescue... someone with a big heart and a tough skin...
