Hey everyone,
We don't have a lot of money and we are not showing our dogs or anything, but our original dog nail clippers were eaten, and the replacement one must have been made for toy poodles or something smaller than a Lab.
I think I will have to get them online, so I won't be able to see them first. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated. I have 2 dogs, litter-mates, one of whom grows hers at a prodigious rate and the other of whose hardly grow at all
Thanks very much!
buy a dremel at Walmart. 19.95 and you can use it for home repairs too.
Once the dog gets used to the noise the enjoy the dremel much more than clippers since they do not squeeze.
We bought these 4+ years ago at Petsmart.* They're not the cheapest, but they work great and have held up well.* It's probably worth spending a couple extra bucks to get something that works well and will last a long time.
Here's a link that shows them.* (The one we have is the biggest one on the far left of the picture)

I use what Rottnlabs uses... one large pair and one small pair (the small for the beagles). They are great as long as they are sharp... I haven't discovered a way to sharpen them, but even the large pair are only about $11.00 and that replacement cost is only about every other year.

We use the same ones the vet does. They look like the ones RottnLabs and Nance use-- I think they were around $10 but worth every penny.

I also use what Rottnlabs & Nance uses. I have had them for several years & use them on our two labs & our last lab also. They were worth the money & held up well for all their use.
Thanks everyoneThose are well within my price range; I was just afraid that there were some fancy ones that would cost $50 or something! Those look great
I have a question about using the Dremel, tho. We have one and I imagine we'd have to get the right ends for it, but how long does it take to get a dog used to it? Our dog has now gotten rather nervous around nail clippers.
I could get the clippers and then transfer over.
Thanks very much!
I use the ones that rottenlabs uses and the dremel.
