DefaultWhat size crate for a full grown lab

    Hey,

My mom was wondering about where we could get a full sized crate for our lab once she's fully grown, and about what size we should aim for.

What kind does she have now? I have a wire crate, have had the same one since Frankie was a pup. It should be big enough for them to stand up and turn around in when they're full grown. You should be able to find them at any pet store, Petco, Petsmart, etc.

I got the biggest one there was - bought it at Walmart b.c it was the same thing as the Petsmart version only 40 bucks cheaper. It's 48x36x30 I think. Billie can stand up, turn completely around and stretch totally out and still have room left over in it. It has the tray in the bottom for easy cleaning and has a divider if you need it.

I prefer the wire crates. Brigetta has a 36 inch now but she's only 6 months and probably weighs btwn 35-40lbs. Depending on how big she gets I'll either get a 42 or 48 inch for her next one. What type and size crate you get will depend on the size of your dog, if you want something that can fold up for travel, etc. You can look online at the pet stores to see the different types.
