    DefaultTatum strikes again

Tatum is a chewer.* She doesn't chew when we are home, but likes to indulge in private.* She has chewed every kind of bedding we have put in her crate, so we decided to pull out the big guns and order this: http://www.primopads.com/.* Well, we left her alone with it for about a hour and a half, and this is what we found:

So, the guarantee says that if the dog destroys it, they will "replace it for free."* Well, I don't want them to replace it, since I have no use for a pad that Tatum will eat.* **sigh** I hope I don't have a fight on my hands to get my money back for all four of the pads I bought!

Aww Tatum honey, don't chew up your doggy bed!

Is she a nervous chewer, Jenn? Maybe leave the TV on or radio near her crate when you're gone so she won't be nervous?

Larry would chew on things (beds) if we left them in his crate, too.

At a dog show, however, there was a guy selling these big black foam pads that are about 1" thick. They were pretty ridiculously priced, but we bought one for Larry's crate, and it's PERFECT! It fits SO snugly that he can't possibly pull it up to chew on it, and it gives him some padding to lay on. It's also much quieter than when he was just lying on the plastic tray.

I'd check Home Depot or a hardware store and ask around if they have the material.

Honestly, I don't think she is a nervous chewer. I think she loves to chew. I take away whatever inappropriate thing she is chewing on when I am home and replace it with a Kong, but when she is alone, she is free to chew on whichever item she chooses, and she likes bedding!

Actually, it isn't just when we aren't home, because several times now we have woken up in the middle of the night to her munching away at her bedsheets!

LOL, I think that is what we purchased, that she just ate!

Ours doesn't have a cover though. It's just a 1" black hard(ish) foam piece. It's tough enough that doggie nails won't poke holes in it, and that gnashing teeth won't eat it, either. But, it's soft enough to give some comfort.

Hard to describe, but I'll see if Doyle can take a picture of it later on today to show you if you're interested.

Hey, the website says that if they dog rips it in any way they'll replace it. They have to be good to their word!
