They got the pathologies back early. It could still be a cancer, most likely of the bone marrow, but there were not lymphatic cancer cells in the lymph nodes. There were plasma cells.
They are now thinking it could be either bone marrow cancer, systemic infection or possibly a tick disease.
She is VERY ILL and more than likely still has some type of cancer. This vet seems to think that a tick disease is the LEAST likely culprit at this point.
They are recommending:
complete full blood panel
possible calcium panel
They recommend another $900 worth of tests to try and determine what is going on. No way I can afford that. We just don't have it. We have an appointment at my own vet tomorrow morning and I will try to do whatever he tells me to do. She is very very ill and still may not make it. Especially if we can't do the further testing to determine treatment.
So while it seems like good news, it might not be.

Oh dear. It's so difficult when the good news and the bad news are the same news. Sorry.
She knows you'll do the right thing for her. Hang in there, and continued positive thoughts coming your way.

How extremely frustrating! The full blood panel would probably give you the most bang for your buck.
Oh, gosh. No advice, just good thoughts for that sweet, sweet girl.
