DefaultEnder gave Eric and I quite a scare

Yesterday, we took Ender to the park to play his favorite game of "chase the frisbee-retrieve the bad throws" Basically Ender LOVES to chase the frisbee when Eric and I play... we like it cause it wears him out quite nicely.

Of course, he gets to retrieve all our "bad" throws at which point he prances around with the frisbee in his mouth then eventually brings it to one of us.

Well... I threw one pretty bad yesterday and he took off running... kept going and going and WHAM! BODY SLAMA RIGHT into a METAL picnic table bench! Yelp of pain and then he just sat there as if stunned.

I saw it happening from the back and at first I though he ran into the bench with his jaw and immediately I thought "oh no.... broken tooth best case, broken jaw worse case" but Eric saw it happening from the side and said Ender just hit the bench in the chest area. Thank GAWD! After what seemed forever but was probably 30 seconds... Ender started walking and I was relieved to see that he didn't even limp at all.

I think he was just stunned... needless to say we watched Ender like two mother hens the whole rest of the day and evening. You should have seen Eric checking on Ender last night as we went to sleep... so cute! ;D

My two are constantly clunking their beans on something when playing bitey face. It's amazing how tough they are.

You guys are so cute with him ;D

Oh my GOSH! I'm so glad he took it in the chest instead of the jaw! Yikes! That would've scared me silly!

Angus has walked into cars before on our walks Looking back at one of us, and WHACK! He's never been going fast when it happened, though, so we just laugh at him.

Oh...edited to say, the cars were PARKED. :P

Poor Ender. I know what it feels like. I have walked into my share of walls before. Its not the best feeling in the world at all!

Ouch. Poor Ender. Glad no damage was done.

Toby has banged into things pretty hard, and it always seems to make me even more breathless than he is from it. A few times were scary (wrought iron fence, garage door) but he's always escaped relatively unscathed so far. I figured it was mostly because he's such a goofy, klutzy puppy and has been growing so fast he just can't work out where all of his body parts are when they're moving quickly. Maybe it's because he's not always looking where he's going.

LOL at Angus - running into parked cars, that's pretty good.

Yes I think Ender's injuries definitely affect us more than him. Well except for the time he pulled me down the hill, even though he yelped and limped for all of 30 seconds, I was in so much pain myself and assessing my own injuries I didn't have time to worry about him.
