This is what I bought for Hubby's new car back in '04 for his Chev. Malibu

    http://www.orvis.com/store/product_c...id=535J&bhcp=1

We like it very much, especially as it keeps dirt and hair
out of the crack between the back rest and the seat itself and also keeps the floor clean. He has put an old towels over the very outside edges of the seat, under the Orvis cover, as the cover should be at least six inches wider (according to him :P )

We use something called a Soggy Dog! It fits right over the backseat in our truck and is completely waterproof as well! It's perfect for the rainy season and after swimming...Fergus is in our truck everyday so it's been a life saver. Plus when I need to I can just throw it in the washing machine!

We got ours at a local pet boutique that we love, but I found a link to them onlline....

Now that Bosco loves to go to the river, I need something to cover my back seat with something better than a blanket.

    Thanks for the other links!!!

I've been looking for something just like that! Thanks for the link! We go to the beach all the time and my new car is starting to get a little funky.

On the Soggy Dog cover, how do you keep it from sliding around? We have leather seats so I'm wondering if it would be slippery. ???

We have the backseat protector from Orvis for my BF's car and it works really well. In my Mini, I fold the back seats down and just spread out some old towels, and fix his leash so that he has some movement but not so much that he could fly through the windshield or windows if god-forbid we were in an accident. But recently, Toby has been trying to get into the front (and nearly choking in the process) if I'm driving alone with him, so I will either have to get a gate style barrier to keep him in the back or allow him forward and get a front seat protector for my leather seats and a doggy seatbelt.
