I had to clean Dory's ears tonight. She has bad ears, poor baby, so she H-A-T-E-S her ears being cleaned so I try to make it as positive as possible. So I have to scrub some sores, then use the purple solution and then put in some more medicine. So in between each stage of cleaning I would just gently rub her ears and scratch her chest where she likes it but she wouldn't look at me. Kinda like if she can't see me then I am not there, but she liked the rubbing so she wouldn't look at me but everytime I stopped scratching on her she would rake me with her paw indicating, 'No don't stop!' It was so hysterical. I didn't exist, just my hand scratching her chest.
Very cute! I hope Dory's ears clear up soon! It's so frustrating battling ear infections. It's good you're combining a good experience (tummy rubs & ear massages) with such a yucky job as ear cleaning.
